You know what I don't understand... how come "this my sh*t in this context could be considered a offensive term, since it means = "this my problem" (I don't know) or "this is what I hafta say" (I don't know) or anything else?
Gwen Stefani wrote "Hollaback Girl" in response to a comment Courtney Love made in an interview.....Love scoffed at Gwen's clean-cut, pretty girl image and said that in high school, Gwen would've been the cheerleader and I was the cool girl, hangin' outside smoking..." So Stefani composed a song with a cheerleading stomp-clap type rhythm and added the word "sh*t" throughout the lyrics to indicate that while she may be a cheerleader, she's a cheerleader with attitude.
"This my sh*t" in terms of the song means "this is my territory, my situation, my milieu. If you want to hang out with me, it will be on my terms."
