Should a comma be used after the word ads or could it be omitted?

The line doesn't make sense, and it's not a sentence.

I think it's a good idea for you to get into the habit of using appropriate punctuation marks, Skylar7.

Don't you think so?

Skylar7, let's back up a bit.

Your thread title should contain some of the words you are asking about. A good title would be Jack referred to in past Bank of America ads, coffee for some 'alone time'.

Then start your post by asking'In the following sentence, which I wrote myself, should a comma be used after the word "ads" or could it be omitted?'

Now read the replies you have received and try to rewrite it more simply. Nobody knows what you are trying to say.

It's hard to figure out what the writer is trying to say. Did Jack put a sleeping pill in somebody's coffee?

No, they don't... Someone had the nerve to tell me they put a sleeping pill in an individual's (Jack) coffee for some 'alone time.'

Please note my corrections above. We don't connect sentences with strings of dots. You can Google "ellipsis" if you want to know how to correctly use three dots in a row.

That seems counterintuitive. If my coffee isn't waking me up enough I'm going to drink more coffee. Eventually that will counteract the effect of a sleeping pill. (It might take longer than usual, but after my second or third cup I'm going to be wide awake.)

There are all kinds of one word expressions that normally take an exclamation mark.

Ah!
Oh!
Ooh!
Aah!
Wow!
Hi!
Amazing!
Unbelievable!
Incredible!
Hallelujah!
Hey!

:)
