I want to improve my writing because my essays lack advanced language and depth. In that case, is this book advisable? If not, what books should I use to improve my essays to C1 - C2 level? Thank you very much.

That's not bad. However, I'm not sure what you mean by "advanced language and depth". Why are you writing essays? Have you read some columns by professionals writers?

Are you saying your essays are not yet at C1 level? If they're not, forget this book and focus on getting to C1.
