Should I capitalize "happy" in "Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!"?

This is the text I wrote:

Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Should the word "Happy" be capitalized? Also, Is it possible to drop the second article and just say?:

Wishing you a merry Christmas and happy New Year!

This looks okay as it stands.

I would not omit that "a".
