If a certain country is a kingdom, described as 'The Kingdom of _____', should I even when I want to refer to it using only 'the kingdom' also capitalize the K 'the Kingdom?'

For example,
'I'm talking about the Kingdom of Netherlands, and especially the political situation in the K/kingdom?'

Which is it?

I'm talking about the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and especially about the political situation in the kingdom.
Upper case.
Lower case.
