You suggested that using 'would' is not natural to Matthew's response. But, in "I wish (that) you would come to Prague next year", would is used. Please clarify it for me.
So, "I wish the future generations would not lose it" is the correct one. Right? But it was suggested that it sounded unnatural. So, what is the best way of putting it?
And, Isn't "I hope you teach more" is more commonly used and correct as well?
'I wish you the best' - here, we are expressing the desire, right?
Doesn't wish also mean what we desire? In which case, "I wish the future generations would not lose it" is correct.
