I answered 1) scissors and 2) pijamas. Then I made a startling discovery that some scissors and some new pijamas are correct (pictures with a grey background). Or a pair of them.

But in the theoretical part we have an example: "Those are nice jeans". Could you tell me whether my variant is possible or not?

I need scissors is possible. It means that scissors will be required. I need some/a pair of scissors means you need one set of scissors.

You need a pair of pyjamas in the second sentence. Note that you can spell the word pyjamas or pajamas but not "pijamas".
