I have confusion about state verbs. I have studied that there are two state verb Be and have And we use them for following thing For describing Possession (I have car) Profession (He is a doctor)Sickness (I am sick)Existence (It is a chair )This list is not complete. Would you please complete it?Another question is that how I can describe state in present?LikeHospital used to be opened in holidays? What is the difference between these two sentence?I have a chance to ask question?I have had a chance to ask question?

Look at the Similar Threads below. These appeared because you gave your thread a great title. Well done!

Ask supplementary questions one at a time in separate threads — again with useful titles, such as Hospital used to be open and Have a chance/have had a chance.

Where did you study this? There are many state verbs.

Hi Moose1,

You can find a list here (it may not be exhaustive, but it will certainly give you an idea).
