Successive or successful?

I just read another job advert. It says: "We need the successive person to have strong IT skills." Is it meant to say "successive", or is it supposed to say "successful"?

I would take it to mean something like The successful candidate will have strong IT skills.

I understood what the advertiser meant, but I wasn't sure if "successive" was the right word. Is it the right word to use in this context?
