Are the terms normally used interchangeably in reference to the garment pictured above?

Sweater is AmE and I believe the BrE for the same garment is jumper. In AmE a jumper is a simply-tailored dress like this one.

BrE primarily uses "jumper" but plenty of people say "sweater". They're usually labelled as "sweaters" in shops.

Pullover is also used in BrE though it is probably less common nowadays.

I miss my woolly pullies from my service days. They were warm and extremely hardwearing.
