Please help me with thw following expression:

My temperatures were​
36.7, 37.2. 37.8, 37.3. I threw out the 38.6 because I didn’t believe it.

I don't fully understand the context of your question but I think you mean that you disregarded / ignored 38.6.

When I looked at the temperature readings, I disregarded 38.6 because it was much higher than what would normally be expected.

While I agree with ieltsonly's response, I would say that your original post would be understood by native speakers. (In the US, as you may know, we use a different scale, Fahrenheit, to measure temperature.)
