Hi everybody,

'Since all drugs need to be tested against placebos there is considerable research which prove they are beneficial.'
What does tested against mean?
'All I am asking is that you believe it is possible by you."
What does it is possible by you mean? I have not understood the use of BY in the sentence.
Can you help please?
Thank you

Please post the entire article. It is difficult to decipher when placed out of context. Furthermore, there are errors in each sentence.

I'll make an educated guess and explain the first sentence. Tested against means to compare the advantages/disadvantages of two or more items.

You can change the second sentence into: "All I'm asking is that you [admit, consider] it could be you." You don't need is, possible, or by.

That's right. Further points:

-Tested against: against here means: compared with; so, it means to discover the difference between 2 things through comparison.
-By you: I think it's intended to mean: in your opinion?

For ex: I has been tested against my radio, but it still have not work.

I'm sorry, I'm unable to make sense of this. Can you try it another way?
