Is the definite article used correctly in my sentences? I am speaking about a famous statue and I mention the buildings around it for the fist time. I am not speaking about specific Italian architecs. But the buildings that are around the square are specific, aren't they?
''The statue is surrounded by the beautiful buildings. Most of the buildings were constructed by the Italian architects.''
