Theses sentences are from my essay.

"The departures will also undergo changes; it will have two entrances, its cafe will be moved to the bottom left corner, and to make way for a bag drop the check-in will be relocated to the cafe's former position. Shops will be constructed behind the security."

1) Is it grammatical and acceptable to use possessives in this way?

2) When describing the changes that will be made to a building, can I say shops will be "constructed" or "built" in it?

"The departures area/section will also undergo changes; it will have two entrances, and its cafe will be moved to the bottom left corner, and to make way for a bag drop, the check-in will be relocated to the cafe's former position. Shops will be constructed behind the security."

1) Is it grammatical and acceptable to use possessives in this way?
Yes, you can use "its", especially if you've already mentioned the cafe.
2) When describing the changes that will be made to a building, can I say shops will be "constructed" or "built" in it?
You can use either of those, or you can say "added".
