We're watching from outside a house:

The light in the bedroom is turned off. The house is now completely dark./The house is completely dark now.

Are these equally natural in this context or is one prefered? Thanks.

The former emphasizes somewhat that the action ("the now") has just happened.

"They flipped the switch and it is now dark" vs "the house is dark now" (and it has been since the family moved out last week).
