Hi everyone.
I want to say "long-term shared interests result in long-term sustainable security".
Is this sentence grammatically correct and does it sound normal to a native speaker:
The longer these shared interests are promoted, the more sustainable security will be guaranteed.

I don't like the second version because on first reading, more sustainable security looks like it's going to be a noun phrase.

I didn't like it either.
Could you please help me make a sentence with "the longer...the..."?
How about "The longer these shared interests are promoted, the longer sustainable security will be guaranteed / ensured"?
Or maybe a better sentence?

Stick with the original, which works and is natural IMO. Putting the comparatives in changes the meaning.
