What is the meaning of "wild colour" in the following sentence .

Kandinsky’s first pure abstracts are marked by their wild colour .

Kandinsky started working in a purely abstract style in the years leading up to the First World War. The colours in these paintings could be described as "wild" in the sense that they might seem to be garish, extravagant and undisciplined compared to the way colour is used in more traditional forms of art.
