The other way around?

If I change the first example to an action, as in "You're putting it on the wrong way," is the sentence correct?
Yes.

When you include a quoted sentence that ends in a period ("full stop" in British English) in a longer sentence that continues after the quote, change the period into a comma.

Can I mention quotes this way on my IELTS test? I'm asking this because I've never seen an essay that contains a quote. But I have a lot of favorite quotes and sometimes I feel like using them.

Yes. Or you could just say, "You're putting it on wrong."
Before I note this down, let me provide a few more examples just to be sure. In case you're wondering, I do keep a note of all these problems so I can look at them later.

1) I think we're going the wrong way. (going in the wrong direction)
2) You've put the case on the wrong way around. (cell phone case)
3) You have to sit the other way around. (sitting in a bench at the gym)
4) I think we should turn the bed the other way around.

Please let me know if they are correct.

They are, indeed. Well done!

They are, but be aware that British English speakers are more likely to say 'round' rather than 'around'.

I'm going to Canada next year (of course if this annoying virus doesn't stop flights again) for my Masters, so I think 'around' would be the better choice for me.

Get a Canadian to take you shopping for winter clothes. They're experts on surviving (and enjoying!) the winter.

Where are you going to school?

You would have to be a Canadian to enjoy a Canadian winter.
;-)

Yes. You should, because correct punctuation counts.

Read magazine articles. They're full of them.

But I have a lot of favorite quotes and sometimes I feel like using them.
Review the rules for quotations. To be safe, only use quotation marks for verbatim quotes.

Two things. One, I'm pretty sure it's okay to use quotes in your essay as long as they are relevant to the subject matter. Two, follow Charlie's advice. (He is always right.)
:)

I haven't decided yet. I've quite a few Universities on my list. I'll start thinking about it after I've taken my IELTS. :)
