Subtitle: This metal was fashioned into tools that revolutionized farming, and later, machines that industrialized the world.

To me, the "revolutionized" part sounds like "revolutionize", not like "revolutionized".
Is it a fault in the clip? Does the recording jump over the "ed" in "revolutionized"?

Yes, good.

Is it a fault in the clip?

No.

In fluent speech, we make connections between words in such a way that the end of one word and the beginning of the following word interfere with each other in a variety of ways. In this case, the /d/ sound at the end of 'revolutionized' can be dropped entirely as the mouth gets ready to pronounce the /f/ of 'farming'.

You're probably aware that this clip is artificial speech, right?
