In a script I'm writing there's a house in a clearing deep in the woods/forest. The house is completely surrounded by woods/forest. Is 'woods' perfectly okay to use in the below sentence if there is only one forest, surrounding the house? Thanks.
The surrounding woods are quiet. / The surrounding forest is quiet.
The surrounding woods are quiet. / The surrounding forest is quiet.
