"The twenty first century has witnessed huge changes in people's preferences not just in terms of everyday items, like clothes and food, but also in terms of jobs"

Did I use "in terms of" correctly?

Yes, but:

1. You need a hyphen in "twenty-first".
2. You need a comma after "preferences".
3. You don't need a comma after "items".
4. You failed to use a closing punctuation mark.
