Hi,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxist_feminism#cite_note-Ferguson-1

- Marxist feminism is a branch of feminism focused on investigating and explaining the ways in which women are oppressed through systems of capitalism and private property.

I would like to ask if we can use 'that or which or where or which . . . in' instead of 'in which' in that sentence:

- Marxist feminism is a branch of feminism focused on investigating and explaining the ways that women are oppressed through systems of capitalism and private property.

- Marxist feminism is a branch of feminism focused on investigating and explaining the ways which women are oppressed through systems of capitalism and private property.

- Marxist feminism is a branch of feminism focused on investigating and explaining the ways where women are oppressed through systems of capitalism and private property.

- Marxist feminism is a branch of feminism focused on investigating and explaining the ways which women are oppressed through systems of capitalism and private property in.

Thanks.

No. None of those are grammatical.

Thanks for the answer but I cannot understand why 'where' is not grammatical. I thought I could because 'in which' is equal to 'where.'
