The given answer is A. This comes from a grade8 English exercisebook written by Chinese English teachers. I thought none of the above is possible for the blank. I thought 'very cold' should be used in the blank. What would you say about this?

I would say: "The weather is cold enough that we have to wear a lot of clothes." Except I wouldn't day that.

You can't leave the blank empty. The sentence wouldn't make sense that way. What would I say? Something like "It's chilly outside. Put your jackets on!"

Yes, I can only imagine that the test writer wanted to produce this kind of 'consequence' sentence, which would explain the inclusion of the word enough. However, they've failed desperately!
