Hello everyone

I need to write a sentence to express the meaning: if the status of a person is low, his words or opinion may be easily overlooked. In the internet, I find an example sentence: The words of the lowly carry little weight.

Is the example sentence right or are there some idioms or proverbs in native English describing the same meaning?

Thank you very much.

It is very good. I would be proud to have crafted it.

Thank you very much.
