I would just like to clarify.
Is it acceptable to remove for + pronouns and replace them with "To" instead?

1.There is 20 minutes left for us to get the train.
There is 20 minutes left to get the train.

2.There is no time for us to talk.
There is no time to talk.

3.There is a way for you to talk to the boss.
There is a way to talk to the boss.

All six sentences are grammatically correct but the second version of each loses the important information that you are talking about "us/you".

There is a context for everything, and everything has a context. With that in mind, you could reduce all of them even further.

It depends on the context- if you and I are taking the train, then removing us removes nothing from the meaning IMO. You could also say We've got twenty minutes to get the train in this context, and make the people clear.

Exactly! In this context you are both taking the train--the same one. So you could say, "Just 20 minutes?" and nothing more would need to be said. Everything depends on context.
