Hello.

If I need to say that "She has been feeling sad recently" but instead of "recently" I need to include "this month" would it be correct?
 
Where would you include 'this month'?

Sorry to pick, but that's not quite accurate.

The time expressions this month and today and not really 'periods of time'. You can describe phrases like two days and four hours as periods of time, but those phrases don't work with recently, unless they occur as part of a preposition phrase (e.g. after for.)

I had a feeling I wasn't being precise enough there. What I think I meant was a point in time, but I'm not sure that really covers the situation either.
