Could "on his neck" and "on his shoulders" be idiomatic redundancies in:

"He threw back his head and laughed."
"He threw back his head on his neck and laughed."
"He threw back his head on his shoulders and laughed."

On google, the phrases "on one's neck" and "on one's shoulders" are used with "throw back his head". How are sentences 2 & 3 different from 1?
