I'm reading a Football newspaper article about two Football players Vardy and Ulloa.

"Leonardo Ulloa replaced a tiring Vardy".

It means Vardy is tired ? or something else?.

Is it correct to say "Leonardo Ulloa replaced a tired Vardy?.

'Tiring' means he was getting tired. Vardy had been in the game a long time, and his team needed a player who was well rested. Vardy could have continued, but it was thought better to put someone else in.

"Leonardo Ulloa replaced a tired Vardy." is not incorrect grammatically, but it means something a bit different.

What does "a tired Vardy" mean ?

Anyway I understood your explanation about tiring Vardy.

A tired Vardy = He was (already) tired.
A tiring Vardy = He was in the process of becoming tired.

Dariog, as much as I love football (AE soccer), there's no reason to capitalise it when it's not part of a name or tiltle.
