I read a sentence on dictionary. Cambridge.org.

Roman Catholics go to confession to be cleansed of their sins.

I wonder if "to be cleansed of their sins" is grammatical here.

I'm more curious why Silverobama is using a French/English dictionary...

What word was being exemplified by that sentence?

(I can guess, but shouldn't have to.)
"Cleansed" was exemplified by that sentence but my question was about "to be cleansed".

I wrote this sentence down in my notebook in 2012 and now I am reviewing my old notebooks.

At that time, the sentence was in English/English dictionary.
