You wanted someone to hand you the book.

You wanted that someone should have handed you the book(?) Is it right Simplification?
 
Could you make this "to hand" infinitive phrase in simple sentence.

Someone should hand (give) you the book.(?) Is this similer with that phrase?

"to hand" means "to give" in your sentence.
