I have read this quote by Michael Billington and have a real problem understanding it. Can someone help, plse? Thanks.
“To let scenery become your playground, grocerer, and bed womb is to know true nourishment.”

It makes no sense at all to me. Remember to use full words on the forum. "plse" is not a word. It's "please".

... and 'grocerer' is not an English word.

Did you read the original quote or someone else's version of it? It might originally have been "bedroom" and would mean that a beautiful environment nourishes the body and soul.

And Ems and Rover are right, it's please and grocer, not plse and grocerer.

Someone quoted it on the internet, thus those spelling mistakes, I suppose. Nevertheless, with or without mistakes, does sound very weird to me.
