Could you please tell me why? It is so confusing. For years, I have learned that we don't use "to-infinitive" after make. Now, it seems to be a new rule.

The infinitive is not used after 'make'. It is used after 'an opportunity (for something)'

Thanks teacher. Now I got it. In this case, the infinitive is related to "opportunity for something to do something", and it is not related to "make".
