Hello

Which one is correct?
Life is too short to not to love.
Life is too short to not love.

And also this one:
I want to cover my ears to not to hear.
I want to cover my ears to not hear.

Please explain why as well.

Hello. Remember to end even such a short sentence with a closing punctuation mark. In future, there is no need for a greeting in your posts. Just go straight in with your question.

Which one is correct?

1. Life is too short to not to love. :cross:
2. Life is too short to not love. Grammatically correct but not natural.

[STRIKE]And also this one:[/STRIKE]
3. I want to cover my ears to not to hear. :cross:
4. I want to cover my ears to not hear. Grammatically correct but not natural.

Please explain why as well.

1 and 3 are incorrect because of "to not to".

I wouldn't use 2. I'd say "Life is too short not to love".
I wouldn't use 4. I'd say "I want to cover my ears so I can't hear".

I prefer the second one in both cases.

If pressed I would say the first ones are incorrect. (I'm not a grammarian.)

As for why, they don't pay me enough for that.
;-)
