Hello,

A: A country is not a piece of land; it's people. If everybody leaves, Ukraine will cease to exist.
B: I have to think about my own happiness, and I think many will stay. They will support Ukraine.
A: You think about your own happiness, but many people will have to stay in Ukraine for Ukraine not to cease to exist. Did you want to say something like this?

Is the part in bold correct? Is "in Ukraine so that Ukraine will not cease to exist" possible?

Thank you

Yes. If it helps, think of it as broken up as shown in the first sentence below.

A lot of people will have to stay in Ukraine ... for Ukraine not to cease to exist.
A lot of people will have to stay in Ukraine in order to ensure that Ukraine does not cease to exist.

It's going to take a lot of Ukrainian people making the decision to stay there if the outcome is going to be that Ukraine continues to exist.

Try:

For Ukraine to continue to exist as a country many people (Ukrainians) will have to stay there and not leave.
