I am sorry if this is not the right section of the forum to post my question. I hope an admin will redirect me to the right section.
I need advice about the textbooks I could use to prepare for the TOEFL exam. These are the most recommended books, but I was wondering if I should use each book or choose one as a comprehensive guide and the other books as supplementary materials. How many books should be chosen from this list? Would you recommend additional ones?
The Official Guide to the TOEFL Test by ETS
Longman Preparation Course for the TOEFL
Cambridge Preparation for the TOEFL Test
Oxford Preparation Course for the TOEFL
Official TOEFL iBT Tests

The first one on your list is a comprehensive guide and as such you will find it useful. The second, third, and fourth ones are preparation materials, and so you will find these valuable too. The last one is a book of practice tests, again, also useful.

With additional textbooks and articles. Right?

Not necessarily, no.

Why are you doing the TOEFL? What score do you need?

Well, I hope I will be able to pass it. I haven't thought about the score yet. :/ To be honest, I haven't. English is required in many places here when you are applying for a job. And quite possibly I will have to go abroad.

So this list of textbooks is enough, isn't it?

I have no idea. It's possible that you don't need any preparation at all. Obviously, it all depends on what score you need and how good you already are.

How many books would you recommend a student to use? I am just wondering if this list I have is enough.

Do you mean there could be different requirements so I might not need to pass it?

It is required. The proof of a candidate's language skills must be provided.

It depends entirely on the student, of course, and her circumstances.

If somebody is requesting that you take the test, they'll also be requiring a particular score. You can't fail the exam as it's not a pass/fail exam.

What I suggest you do first is read the guide and then you'll understand things much better.

Thank you so much. It is not recommended to use both, is it? Only one of them.
Either Cambridge Preparation for the TOEFL Test or Oxford Preparation Course for the TOEFL.

It's up to you how much time you want to dedicate to this, Anna. You can read every preparation book on the market if you want to.

Perhaps it is a silly question but I will still ask. :) I noticed that volume 2 is the fourth edition while volune 1 is the fifth. Is volume two the second part of the book?
