Hi teacher and native speakers. Would you please tell me what is the meaning of " I'd like to try Falconing, but I don't have a falcon"? What is Falconing?

I wasn't clear. Due to copyright rules in the UK, where the forum is based, when you quote someone else's text, you must tell us the title of the book and the name of the author.

The speaker meant 'falconry'.

Now tell us the title and author of the book you mention.

(By the way, try falconry is not a phrasal verb.)

You might want to look up falconry. That will tell you all you need to know. (You have to have a falcon to do it.)

I was able to look up falconry even though I don't have a falcon. 😀

That gave me a chuckle or two or three. (Or was it a guffaw?) Of course, I meant you have to have a falcon to do falconry. (Very few of us have one.)
