Which one is correct?

Try to speak in English.

Try to speak English.

Thanks.

Is there any difference between two sentences? (compare word by word).
I think "speak" in the first sentence is an intransitive verb.
The "speak" in the second is a transitive verb.
How do you think about this ?
Thank you so much !
