a. I open the tap to get water.
b. I open up the tap to get water.
c. I turn on the tap to get water.
d. I turn up the tap to get water.

Are they all correct?

Open the tap ~ turn on the tap
Close the tap ~ turn off the tap
Open up the tap ~ turn up the tap

I use only turn on and turn off with taps.

They are all fine except d, which is wrong.

Thank you folks.
I use only turn on and turn off with taps.
Do you use different verbs/phrasal verbs for showers?

They are all fine except d, which is wrong.
Fine. But then which one takes your fancy? ;) Haven't you developed any personal preference? Though I'd reckon it's faucet as far as AE/CE is concerned.

Use turn on/off the tap/faucet for all kinds of taps. It doesn't matter whether you're talking about a shower.

My brother (a chemical engineer) tends to use open and close with taps, which he often calls valves. But we ordinary folk can get along fine with turn on.

In my navy days, we used open and close for the type of (stop)cock illustrated here.
