Finally, it supports two DIMMs per memory channel so it will be able to utilize up to four sticks of RAM.

Does it mean there are four channels that are supported four sticks of RAM?

It might have one channel, it is indeed ambiguous, since DIMM stands for Double In-line Memory Module. So a DIMM might be a pair of modules on one stick, with both sticks and four modules in one channel. Who knows?

My statement is correct. There are totally supported 4 sticks of RAM, not 8 sticks of RAM.:-D

It appears that each color is a channel. There are two channels (purple and orange). Each channel can take up to two DIMM memory sticks.

A DIMM (dual in-line memory module) is simply a memory stick that has duo (two) sets of contacts (fingers) which are independent of each other. A SIMM also has two sets of contacts, but they are electrically the same set of contacts. In the old days, contacts (fingers) were only on one side of the memory stick.

There is a possibility that each channel is a set of purple and orange slots instead of purple, purple and orange, orange. In some computers, each "set" of memory sticks are situated in alternate slots.

Actually, you have deleted my statement that was showed "There are totally supported 4 sticks of RAM, not 8 sticks of RAM." in the picture at post #7.
I don't understand post #2 say that there are up to 8 sticks of RAM.(If you have seen the picture at post #7)

I pointed out that what you wrote would mean that there would be 8 sticks. If what you asked was correct. 2 per channel. 4 channels. 8.

I was not wrong. I was pointing out the flaw in your logic.
