Sorry meant ''Typical of". Guess we never say "typical for"
Guess "similar to" has a slightly different meaning.I have never heard a sentence with "typical of" in it. May be someone who has more expertise will be able to answer.
But you can replace it with "similar to"; I think that is what you are trying to convey.
You can say, "This sort of behaviour is typical of you" for example. "Typical of" is fine.Guess "similar to" has a slightly different meaning.
