Hi,

Is ''He ignored me under compulsion'' correct?

Suppose someone ignored me because he was busy or he couldn't do so under some circumstances.

I take it to mean 'He ignored me because he was forced to do so'.

Yes, ''He ignored me under compulsion'' is very unnatural.

You could say "He was compelled to ignore me."

He is too busy/tied up to attend to me.

He is unable to attend to me.

Or, he was otherwise occupied.

Is "He was under compulsion to ignore me" natural? If not, please tell me when I should use "under compulsion" to avoid making mistakes next time.

I think you should not use 'under compulsion' if the following is your intended meaning.
Suppose someone ignored me because he was busy or he couldn't do so under some circumstances.

Please tell me when I should use "under compulsion".
