It's a quote from Jack London's "The call of the wild." I don't understand the words in red: Upon which impeachment of what to her was her most essential sex-prerogative, she made their lives unendurable.
 
The use of "which" there is very old-fashioned. Nowadays we'd use "that" instead.

Make sure you correctly capitalise the titles of books. If you're not sure how to do it, look the product up on something like Amazon and copy the capitalisation from the listing or from the book cover.
