This comes from a test for nurses in one of Polish universities I won't name to retain its anonymity.

The answer needed to match the answer key exactly because the test was a program on a website, and it would be checked automatically, not by a human.

[STRIKE]A) What deals with the conditions of the urinary tract?[/STRIKE]
A*) Deals with conditions of the urinary tract
B) RBC stands for "Red Blood ..."

The answer key says:

A) Urologist
B) Count

I'm wondering if A:Urology, and B:Cells are also correct.

Why does the university need to remain anonymous?

The given answer to A is incorrect because "what" can't refer to a person. "Urology" would be a correct answer.

In medicine, RBC usually means "red blood count".

I'm sorry. I misquoted. There was no what in A.

I'm not a doctor, but I can't see why it can't be "cells". I think it was a poorly designed question.

I'm not a nurse but when I Googled "RBC initialism", I got about ten hits for "Red Blood Cell(s)" and just one for "Red Blood Count". I'm not suggesting that any nurse taking a test should have to look anything up on Google, though!

See Urology for Dummies by I P Knightly.

The RBC, together with the WBC and CBC, are quantifiable attributes of a hematology test.
