Hello,
I am having a problem dealing with 'Mr.' before names. Although I know it's not used before 'titles' such as Dr.; Capt. etc. However, I am confronted with names common in our part of the world such as 'Mr. Syed Ali' or 'Syed Ali' and before a cast such as 'Chaudhry' like in name Mr. Chaudhry Ali is ok; or it should be without Mr. 'Chaudhry Ali only'

Thanks,

Shaukat Mahmood

Did you mean "caste"? You should use Mr. only if Chaudry is not a title. If it's considered part of the man's name, use Mr.

When using the title in speech, I would not include the first name, and would just address the person as Mr Ali.
