Hi,

Names of the Days
Names of the Months
Names of the Birds
Names of the Animals

Is the use of 'the" necessary here?

In what context?

Titles of what?

As in:

Names of the Days
Sunday
Monday

Names of the Birds
Parrot
Sparrow

"Names of the Days" is OK but the second would be more natural as "Bird Names" or just "Birds".

Similarly, should I use "Weapon Names"?

Yes.
There are only 7 days of the week. There are only 12 months of the year.
There are only 7 dwarfs, 7 deadly sins, etc. When you can name them ALL, use "the."

You don't really need to use the word "names" in those titles, though.
Days of the Week

Months

Common Birds

etc.

Similarly, should I use "Weapon Names"?

Names of Weapons
would also work- I wouldn't use the definite article unless you are listing all weapons - unlikely - or specific weapons. Weapons alone would also be enough.

For example, if you were playing the board game Clue, you could list the weapons, the rooms, and the suspects. There is a finite number of each.
