Hi,
Would anyone please tell me the difference? In some other post of mine I had trouble using one of them with the word "thickness", for which some dear posters suggested "varied", "varying", and "not so uniform". Now I wonder if there's any special difference between "varied" and "variable". Thanks in advance.

hi,
Please note I'm not a teacher nor a native speaker;

I think the key could be the synonyms of the words :
varied = different; (so more then one)
variable = changing;

Alternative way of saying it would be vary in thickness.

Hope it helps
Cheers
