Hi,
Would anyone please give me the appropriate adjective? The context is:

"...the Formation consists of varied/variable thickness of accumulated Carbonate..."

Or any better adjective?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,
Would anyone please give me the appropriate adjective? The context is:

"...the Formation consists of not so uniform thickness of accumulated Carbonate..."

Or any better adjective?

Thanks a lot.

I can't recall any other adjectives of quality that carry the similar meaning.

"Varied thicknesses" would be how I would put it.

I think varied wouldn't match for the word should be used with different things or materials.
Here we deal with just one physical substance - deposits of carbonate.
If uniform isn't a good enough choice there must be another word.

Or "varying thicknesses."

Thanks to all. And I suppose the opposite must be "constant thickness", if I'm not mistaken.
