video clip vs video

"Video clip" is defined as "a short video produce for promotion purposes", so if I replace the underlined with "video", will it make a difference? What's the difference between just "video" and "video clip"?

ex)...Also, many Koreans, from ordinary students to professional cooks, are actively posting video clips online that show people how to cook Korean food properly...

If you replaced 'video clips' with 'videos', it wouldn't make a difference to me.

I understand video clips to be extracts from longer videos.
