Hi everyone,

How do you feel if some people say they have a "video with 'intact video display' but no sound"? Is it too formal? If yes, how would you put it?
Thank you!

Hi everyone,

Thank you!

If someone said that to me, I wouldn't know what they meant by "intact video display".

The video had no sound/had lost the sound.

How about with sound but no "screen"?
Is it called "intact visual display but no sound"?

Why would we assume that the video is not "intact"?

Simply say that the video has no sound.

Is it even simpler to say "a soundless video"?

Possibly, but we don't.

The picture is fine, but the audio isn't working.

May I say "audio-defective"?

You may say it; native speakers wouldn't.
