1. I was at party and he was sitting right next to me.
2. I was at party and I had him sitting right next to me.

What's the difference here?

What do you want to say?
I've seen people giving interviews and telling story of past sometimes they use 1st sentence sometimes 2nd I just want to know if there's any difference or they are totally same?

If you just want to say he was sitting next to you, use sentence 1. The "right" adds emphasis and may not always be needed.

The second might be used in a specific context. It could mean different things depending on context, which we don't have.

I am going to say this again - please stop simply giving two random sentences, in which the only difference is the tense, and asking us to choose between them without giving us any context! This is at least the third time we have explained this to you but you seem to be ignoring us.

Sorry, I don't remember the whole Story/Context I just saw someone giving the interview and he used the 2nd sentence.
